Gemini (Latin: twins) is one of the constellations of the zodiac known as "the twins". It is part of the winter sky, lying between Taurus to the west and the dim Cancer to the east, with Auriga and the near-invisible Lynx to the north and Monoceros and Canis Minor to the south. The Gemini program is named for it.

雙子座（Gemini，雙胞胎）是一個南天黃道帶星座。它是一個冬季星座。它的西邊是金牛座，東邊是比較暗淡的巨蟹座。御夫座和非常不明顯的天貓座位於它的北邊，麒麟座和小犬座位於它的南邊。美國的雙子座號飛船就是以它來命名的。Unicode代碼是264A。

特點

雙子座有兩顆非常亮的星，在西方這兩顆星象徵著命名雙子座的一對孿生兄弟。其中比較暗的α星（北河二）是在望遠鏡中是一顆雙星（實際上它甚至是一顆六合星）。其它的星都比較暗。只有γ是在城市燈光下也能被看到的。

1930年冥王星就是在雙子座的δ附近被發現的。

深空天體

雙子座內最亮的深空天體是M35。它是一個疏散星團，離地球大約2800光年，亮度5級。它位於雙子座η星的西北。

神話

雙子座代表的是希臘神話中宙斯與斯巴達王后莉達（Leda）所生的一對孿生子卡斯托和普勒克斯。雙子座α星（Castor）及β星（Pollux）就是以這對兄弟命名的。
